Finnish Sisu GTP 4×4 armored vehicles have been spotted in the arsenal of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces, according to military historian Andriy Haruk.
According to the Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi, the sighting draws attention because the transfer of the equipment was not officially announced as part of Finland’s military aid packages to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the vehicles may have reached the country through other allies, such as Sweden, which has ordered more than 300 of these units. For now, the exact number of armored vehicles transferred remains unknown.
There is also no confirmation of their use by other components of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, although it is likely that they are also in service with other Special Operations units.
This is not the first time the Special Operations Forces have received exclusive equipment. Recently, it was reported that their fleet included German Caracal armored vehicles manufactured by Rheinmetall.
